Leadership and Management in a Changing World: Lessons from Ancient East and West Philosophy
Dr. Deng present her findings from two rounds of qualitative interviews with Australian expatiate partitioners working in China in 30 Australian organizations operating in China in 2004 and in 2010. The framework of cross-cultural leadership wisdom emphasizes the developmental process underlying the emergence of effective expatriate leadership. It positively influences cross-cultural management effectiveness, and thus contributes significantly to the success of foreign businesses, particularly Western businesses operating in China.

The changing face of "Marxist journalism" in contemporary China
The debate on Marxist journalism in the Chinese communist movement emerged in the early 1940s in Yanan as part of a greater political project aimed at creating a new ideological doctrine which was later to be known as Mao Zedong Thought or Maoism. After the communists seized power in 1949 this Yanan-style Marxist press model was imposed on the whole Chinese media sector. But Marxist journalism was born as discourse and has remained as discourse to deal with challenges that the Chinese communist press has faced over time. As a result, it has since been reinterpreted and reinvented time and again for different purposes in different socio-historical circumstances.
