Accounting and Finance in top 100 worldwide

RMIT University has nine fields of study ranked in the top 150 globally, with two fields - Accounting and Finance and Engineering, Civil and Structural - in the top 100.

The QS World University Rankings by subject are the first to rank universities at individual field of study level in the world.

With a methodology tailored to fit each subject, the rankings are based on Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation and Citations per Paper.

RMIT Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Margaret Gardner AO, welcomed the rankings.

"RMIT is a global university of technology and design with 74,000 students.

"The University is increasingly recognised for its engagement with the needs of industry and the quality of its work-relevant education," Professor Gardner said.

QS World University ranked 26 fields of study.
