Three RMIT University students from Food Science majoring in Human Nutrition recently presented the findings of their research projects in Canberra.

They addressed the staff of the Federal Government food regulator, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), in Canberra.

The three honours students were each doing a nutrition research project for FSANZ under the supervision of Professor Neil Mann in the School of Applied Sciences.

Earlier in 2010 they were selected by FSANZ to receive scholarships to complete one-year research projects relevant to FSANZ activities.

FSANZ flew the students to its head office in Canberra, where each gave a 30-minute presentation on the background, methodology and results of their research.

Professor Mann said: “The students did a great job and FSANZ staff commended them on the high level of their research and presentation skills.”
