The Consultancy and Development Unit (CDU) provides opportunities for the School of Education and the University to meet the growing needs of individuals and organisations in the areas of research, evaluation, professional development and consultancy. The CDU has access to the School of Education RMIT staff as well as wide range of experts who have worked with the CDU over the last fifteen years.
The CDU is highly regarded as a centre of excellence in:
- Pedagogy
- Environmental education

- Research and evaluation

Consultancy services
The Consultancy and Development Unit provides a wide range of consultancy services for education authorities, educational organisations, government departments and schools.
These services include:
- development of government programs
- implementation of government initiatives
- consultations with the education community in relation to government directions
- development of curriculum materials and programs
- consultancies to schools and clusters of schools across Victoria and Australia
- a wide range of international projects
