Skin Biology and Tissue Repair Research Group

The focus of research in the Skin Biology and Tissue Repair group is concerned with the biology of the skin and its functions in response to UV exposure and wound repair.

The main aspects to the research undertaken by the members of this group involve studying the effect of cytokine release from UV-irradiated skin cells and the role this may play in the development of skin cancer, as well as the role that fibroblasts play in cancer growth and in wound repair
