- Refurbish large outdoor balcony area, which will include shelter, seating, plants and rock gardens, and lighting
- New flooring material to be installed throughout the School
- Major mechanical upgrade to service teaching spaces
- New data room to accommodate new data rack

Project overview
Staff in the School of Property Construction and Project Management (PCPM) are being relocated from Building 101, on the corner of La Trobe and Russell Streets into the eighth level of Building 8, in the heart of the City campus, which is being refurbished to accommodate the School’s diverse needs. There are two stages in the project.

September – December 2009
The tender for the main contractor (construction company) closed on 13th November with McCormack being appointed. Construction works began in late November with works set to finish in February, 2010, in time for first semester.
May – August 2009
Schematic design for Stage 2 has been completed and detailed design is due for completion in mid-September. The tender for the main contractor will be issued shortly after the detailed design is finished.
April 2009
Building 8, Level 8 Stage 1 refurbishments are now complete and the School of PCPM staff are moving into their new premises.
March 2009
The contractor – ISIS Projects – has been appointed for building works and construction commenced in late March.
