Intent

To provide a procedure for the systematic collection, analysis and reporting of University, program and course level student feedback of programs offered in partnership with other providers.

Scope

University-wide – programs offered in partnership with other institutions (local, regional or international)

Exclusions

There are no exclusions. The requirement for offshore student evaluation and evaluation systems will be included in individual contracts with providers.

4. Agreed exceptions and amendments are negotiated with partners to ensure that:

a) Contractual obligations in relation to student feedback are considered and met;

b) Student feedback procedures already in place by partner institutions are considered;

c) The type and conduct of student feedback is appropriate given the cultural context of delivery; and

d) The use of student feedback results is aligned with RMIT ‘s and partner institutions student feedback policies.

5. Appropriate procedures and survey instruments are specified in an agreed Student Feedback Implementation Plan and endorsed by the RMIT Offshore Partnership Managers and appropriate personnel from partner organisation(s). The Plan will include mechanisms to ensure:

a) outcomes from evaluation are communicated to students;

b) reporting of progress is included in Annual Program Reports;

c) regular monitoring of improvements occurs;

d) duplication of effort across differing quality assurance systems is avoided or minimised.

6. Student feedback is conducted according to RMIT University wide program level and course level procedures with exceptions and amendments as stated in the Student Evaluation Implementation Plan.
