Intent and objectives
To ensure the ongoing maintenance of TAFE staff competencies and qualifications and the recording of these.
Scope
All TAFE teaching staff.
Exclusions
Professional staff, academic staff, senior executive staff, childcare staff, teachers exclusively teaching VCE, Foundation Studies or Associate Degrees.

Maintain and update TAFE teacher Qualifications and Current Competency form for TAFE teachers and document
Attainment of qualifications, competencies, licences or registrations must be documented in the TAFE teacher Qualifications and Current Competency form and original documents must be sighted, copied and sent to Human Resouces for recording on the HR system. |

Supervision arrangements for casual and fixed term staff who are unable to meet the assessor competencies and/or training competencies need to be documented in the Supervision of TAFE teaching staff form. Further details are available in the TAFE teaching staff mandatory qualifications, competencies and supervision guideline. |
At the beginning of each semester for casual staff. |

Reminder listings will be provided to Heads of School, documenting staff and their qualifications recorded on the HR system. |
