Building 9 – Design Studios (9.3.4A, 9.3.4B, 9.3.5A, 9.3.5B, 9.3.6A, 9.3.6B)

Overview

The design studios provide spaces for media/communications students to collaborate of design projects.

Each pair of studios (4A/4B, 5A/5B, 6A/6B) is connected via vertical tri-fold doors, which can be opened for larger group interactivity. When closed, these doors function as whiteboard space for student collaboration and display.

Key features

Seating

  • 25 seats per room, in groups of up to five around project tables (joined pairs can seat up to 50)

Display

  • Two main projectors displaying on white walls
  • Two portable interactive whiteboards ('teamboards') in each of 5A/5B
  • Two portable mounted LCD screens in each room

Other technology

  • Power-points and network points provided near all project tables
