What to wear
All graduating RMIT students are required to wear a traditional cloth gown, stole/hood and mortarboard at the Melbourne Graduation Ceremony. What you wear is determined by the level of award you are receiving (e.g. diploma, bachelor, master, etc.) and the discipline of your program.
The colour of your hood (worn around your shoulders) indicates your discipline. If you are graduating with a double degree you are entitled to wear two hoods pertaining to both disciplines.
