This Certificate aims to provide the skills and knowledge for people seeking employment in the laundry industry. Tasks undertaken include:
- controlling washing machine operation
- performing linen rewash
- coordinating/processing products for storage/despatch
- participating in, leading and facilitating work teams.
This program is delivered through:
- on-the-job training
- workplace delivery by RMIT staff
- manuals and other learning materials.

Certificate II: 1.5 years full-time or 3 years part-time
Certificate III: 3 years full-time or 6 years part-time
Features
Learning and teaching
RMIT offers a variety of learning and teaching approaches including lectures, seminars, studios, workshops, presentations, group discussions and syndicate work. These are primarily in English.
You will have access to the Learning Hub and other online and digital resources through the myRMIT student portal.
Ongoing assessment throughout the semester includes examinations, essays, reports, oral classes, presentations, group projects, research projects, laboratory projects and practical assignments.

Program entry requirements
Applicants for the apprenticeship must be employed, registered with an Australian Apprenticeship centre, and nominate RMIT as their Registered Training Organisation. There are no entrance requirements for all other applicants.

Fees
Tuition fees vary according to each program.
There are 2 tuition fee types:
- Victorian Government subsidised places where your fee is shared between you and the Victorian Government - if you meet the eligibility criteria
- full fees where you will be responsible for the full cost.
