Hats off for Good Friday Appeal
Construction workers on RMIT University’s biggest development have dug deep for the kids – and RMIT has backed them dollar for dollar.

Professor Gardner joins Brookfield Multiplex workers in hailing the joint donation.
For the second year running, workers on the Swanston Academic Building site on Swanston Street in central Melbourne collected $3,000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. RMIT put in a further $3,000.
RMIT Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Margaret Gardner AO, stood in A’Beckett Street to thank hundreds of members of the construction workers’, electricians’ and plumbers’ unions.
“Thank you for your work on this amazing building. The University appreciates your work.
“And thank you for your donation to the Appeal, which the University is happy to match.”
Brookfield Multiplex site manager, Frank Cuzzilla, said workers on another 10 or so company sites had been inspired by last year’s collection at SAB.
This year, the construction company’s workers had contributed more than $20,000 to the Appeal.
FujiXerox provided the giant cheque for the RMIT event.
