Definitions

AQF: Australian Qualifications Framework

Associate supervisor: contributes to the supervisory team in particular areas of disciplinary or methodological expertise

DVC: Deputy Vice-Chancellor

EFT: Equivalent full-time

HDR: Higher Degrees by Research

Senior/Joint Senior supervisor: Advise and assist candidates as appropriate in meeting the requirements for successfully completing their candidature milestone reviews and submission of their research for examination

RTS: Research Training Scheme

Research Commencement Date: The date from which duration of candidature is calculated.

SGR: School of Graduate Research

Supervisor register: a list of supervisors eligible to undertake HDR supervision at RMIT
