Student visibility

I am an RMIT student but when I login to the RMIT web site I cannot view some pages. Why?

In the RMIT website, pages can have visibility set to ‘staff’, ‘students’ or ‘all’. Visibility is set on a page-by-page basis by the person who uploads and publishes that web page.

• all = visible to everyone
• staff = visible to RMIT staff who login
• students = visible to RMIT staff and students who login

But… some students cannot access ‘student’ web content

Some RMIT students will not be able to view web content that has ‘student’ visibility:

• international students
• OLA students
• new students who do not yet have academic results

If you login to the RMIT web site as a student, and see your student number at the top-left of the screen instead of your name, you will not be able to view web content with ‘student’ visibility.
